Evening

The ink-blue shroud of night descends
While day retreats to a golden fringe
On a horizon stained with crimson glow
A purple patch binds the boundless sky

A frozen breath extinguished the light of day
And puts restless creatures to gentle sleep
Under the shimmering jewels of a million stars
The harsh white lamps lights the asphalt paths
